The Story Behind Go Solo, Together!

Sometimes the best ideas come from the simplest conversations.
The idea for Go Solo, Together didn't start in a conference room or a marketing meeting. It started at home.
This concept was inspired by my husband and business partner, who has often talked about how much more he would have traveled before we met if a program like this had existed. The world may have felt a little more inviting; the opportunities a little easier to say yes to. He may have felt more confident traveling on his own and seeing what was out there.
This idea stayed with us.
Why should someone have to wait for a travel companion before experiencing the world?

Why should someone's bucket list remain unchecked simply because schedules don't align with friends or family, or perhaps they don't have the same travel budget. Maybe the idea of going completely on your own feels intimidating? Or perhaps the idea of going and spending a week with 30 strangers is even more intimidating.
The more we talked about it, the more we realized there was a gap in the travel industry.
There are plenty of traditional escorted tours with tightly planned itineraries, big busses and a form of travel that doesn't work for everyone. There are cruises where you only get a taste of a city and there are tour groups aimed at younger solo travelers. But there are fewer options for travelers—especially those over 35—who want the freedom of independent travel while still having opportunities to connect with like-minded people along the way.

So we started thinking about who those travelers are, and how they really want to experience the world.
Some travelers want to go on their own but would appreciate knowing they're not entirely alone. They like the idea of a safety net... just in case.
Some want to travel with a friend, sibling, spouse, or partner, but not be on a big bus tour.
Some simply want a thoughtfully planned journey without spending months researching every detail on their own.
And sometimes, the challenge isn't finding someone to travel with at all. The challenge is how to travel with the person they already have.
Because not everyone travels the same way—and that includes our very own travel companions.

Some people love museums while others prefer getting lost wandering neighborhoods. Some are early risers while others come alive after sunset. Some would happily spend an afternoon relaxing at the spa while others would rather be out exploring or hiking. Even within the best friendships, partnerships, and marriages, travel styles can be very different... and that's okay!
Go Solo, Together creates space for those differences. Join an excursion that excites you, spend the morning pursuing your own interests, and reconnect later over dinner or an evening aperitivo. The goal isn't to keep everyone together every moment of the day. The goal is to create a travel experience where everyone can enjoy the destination in the way that makes them happiest.
Sometimes the best travel companion is someone who gives you the freedom to have your own adventure, too. That's the spirit behind GST.
"The goal is to create a travel experience where everyone can enjoy the destination in the way that makes them happiest."
What began as a conversation eventually became his mission: to create a travel experience that would empower people to see the world, whether they had a travel companion or not.
He imagined a travel program that would create opportunities for connection, inspire confidence, and empower people to travel on their own terms. Together, we refined the concept, built the experience, and that's where Go Solo, Together was born.
At its heart, Go Solo, Together is about making travel feel more accessible.
Maybe you've had a trip sitting on your bucket list for years.
Not because you don't want to go.
But because you're waiting for the right travel companion, the right timing, or the
confidence to take the leap on your own.
Life gets busy.
Schedules don't align.
Friends have different priorities, budgets, or vacation time.
That's exactly why Go Solo, Together was created.
We believe the world should be open to everyone—whether you're traveling on your own, with someone you love, or somewhere in between.
This is more than a collection of trips. It's the beginning of a new way to travel.
Welcome to Go Solo, Together. ✨🌍✈️
